Most of metal materials can be used for metal lapel pin during manufacturing in our factory.
Copper: The only material for cloisonne pins. If you want to make a classic metal lapel pin, we recommend cloisonne. This lapel pin process comes from antique China and have a history over 100 years. The history for cloisonne Copper has a better metal lines looking than others, it's suitable for one fine metal lapel pin.
As a higher costs, metal pins by copper is more expensive than lapel pin made by other metals.
Brass: It's the regular material for enamel pins, embossed pins and die struck pins and custom coins. i.e., brass stamped with soft enamel, imitation enamel. Brass is welcomed by lapel pin factory and customers for good specialty and cheaper than copper. Brass is the most useful metal for custom lapel pins.
Bronze: The regular material for custom printed pins, especially offset printed pins. It have a golden look.
Iron, steel : cheaper cost and cheaper pin, iron stamped with soft enamel lapel pins, iron imitation enamel lapel pins and iron photo etched.
Zinc Alloy: This is the material for die cast, most of custom coins and challenge coin are using zinc alloy for a cheap cost than copper or brass. It doesn't mean a lower quality for zinc alloy. Zinc alloy lapel pin or zinc alloy customized coins with kinds plated finishes will also have a good look.
Stainless Steel: The printed pins usually to use thin bronze and stainless steel.
Aluminum: use for dog tag
Copper > Brass > Bronze Zinc Alloy > Stainless Steel > Iron > Aluminum
